This gorgeous strand of Moonstone is a classic white stone with gorgeous pearly AB sheens on many of the beads in each strand. These beads are a high grade and show very little black flecks or other inclusions.
Moonstone is a beautiful and unique stone from the feldspar family, and it is famous for a beautiful pearly iridescence. Moonstone is so named because it looks like the moon in stone form, and in Roman times, it was even believed to be moonlight rays trapped in rock. This legendary stone is found all over the world, with deposits in India, Sri Lanka, Switzerland and more. This stone is not to be confused with Opalite, which is a man-made glass.
These smooth round beads measure 5mm in diameter and the center-drilled holes measure about .5mm to 1mm. The strand is approximately 7" inches long and there are approximately Q40 beads on a strand.
All photos have been taken indoors with daylight, but as always, computer and mobile screens display colors differently.
