This stunning dragonfly pendant is gilded in shimmery violets, purples and a hint of blue. It has a touch of shimmer on the wings, and also features sparkly Swarovski crystals for even more fabulousness! These dragonflies have been hand painted to look like enameled pendants and would look lovely on a plain chain, but you can also bead around them for a truly one of a kind design. These pendants have been painted by the Dry Gulch gals in our studio in the Ozarks area of Missouri. Adding life to handmade jewelry by painting plain metal components is one of our favorite things to do. Our hand painted pendants and components can take up to to 2 days to complete in our studio!
These pendants are made of an antique silver plated base metal alloy and have been hand painted with metal-specific paints and patinas. No two pendants are ever exactly alike because of their hand painted nature. The back side has not been painted though there may be a little paint residue from the painting process. These pendants have been distressed for an old world effect and then sealed with glossy resin. The resin protects the color and imparts an enameled effect. We have also set coordinating colors of Swarovski crystals in the dragonfly bodies for even more sparkle!
These dragonfly pendants are large-ish in size, they are approximately 72mm wide by 41mm long, or 2-7/8" inches wide by 1-5/8" inches long. The photos in this listing include a ruler so you can see how big the pendant is. All photos have been taken outdoors in sunlight, but as always, computer and mobile screens display colors differently.
